My full name is Robert Joseph Licata and I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. I have lived in Syracuse my entire life, leaving only to attend college 30 miles south at SUNY Cortland. At Cortland I studied Sport Management, learning the intricacies of business as it relates to the sports industry.
As part of my curriculum I took on an internship in 2004 with the Syracuse University football program, helping out in the video department. This led to being hired as a graduate assistant (2005) and eventually as a full-time employee (2007).
As a native of Syracuse, I grew up a fan of SU sports so to be working on the inside now has been pretty awesome. It takes up quite a bit of my time, but it has also taken me to some very cool places and allowed me to meet some very cool people.
When I’m not working I like to spend time with my wife, Danielle and our son, Joey. He was born in March 2010 and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch him grow. Also, I can’t leave out my Rottweiler, Jackson, who lives with my parents because they fell in love with him while I was still living at home and I couldn’t bear to break their hearts. Well, that and my retired mom has more free time to spend with him.
If I’m able to find time between taking care of all those responsibilities, I like to work on whatever web project I may currently have going. Developing blogs and internet businesses has become a pretty involved hobby of mine and I really enjoy it. I find it to be challenging but also fulfilling.
On the rare occassion that I’m not involved with any of the things above, I like to pop in a movie and relax on the couch.
