Professional Experience

This page is broken into three sections: Career, Entrepreneurial Projects and Education. Each area has had a profound impact in developing my knowledge base and qualifications. You can read more about each section below.

Career

Currently, I work as Assistant Video Coordinator in the athletic department at Syracuse University. My primary responsibility includes helping the football coaching staff with their video needs. This includes all practice and game film, opponent scouting, assisting with highlight film production, recruiting tapes, etc. It is a job that has provided me with some outstanding experiences, including trips to prestigious stadiums, contact with notable alumni and an opportunity to understand how a major Division I athletic program functions.

Prior to my full-time appointment, I was a graduate assistant in the same role in the video department. I worked full-time hours while studying for my Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation. I have held this job, with varying titles, since fall of 2005.

Entrepreneurial Projects

Ever since I was a small child and charged my parents for performances my brother and I put on I’ve been interested in entrepreneurship. These activities continued as I became the 12-year-old organizer of a neighborhood trading card sales convention, and most recently have developed into efforts as an internet marketer, web developer, and author of instructional eBooks.

In June 2005 I founded Genius Management Group, an umbrella company that oversees all my various projects. Originally created to serve as a middle-man between youth sports organizations and advertisers, GMG has expanded to include a multitude of web-based business models. To read more about the projects currently being run under GMG, and those I have worked on in the past, visit the Projects page.

Education

I began my college education at Onondaga Community College in Fall of 1999 and graduated in December 2001 with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies. In the Spring of 2002 I began taking classes at SUNY Cortland, majoring in Sport Management. I graduated from Cortland with honors in December 2004. In August 2005 I began a graduate assistantship at Syracuse University, majoring in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation. I received my Master’s Degree in May 2007.
